Your role

Position Scope: 

Performs accurate Maintenance Planning according to Maintenance Excellence and Best Recognized Practices. Ensures the efficient operation of equipment and facilities. Delivers results by optimizing resources, minimizing downtime, increasing OEE, and improving the overall effectiveness of maintenance activities and strategies. Works on the reliability, availability, and maintainability of equipment, processes, and systems in the Pennsville Site. Maintain Pennsville's PM program in accordance with site SOPs.  Duties will include long term scheduling of PMs requiring downtime and working with the Stakeholders and Managers to track all late PMs and ensuring all late PMs are properly extended in accordance with site SOPs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Ensure that all maintenance-planned activities comply with safety regulations and company policies safety permitting process, etc.
  • Conduct safety audits and inspections of maintenance work and incorporate it in the work orders
  • Promote a culture of safety and reliability within the maintenance team
  • Develop detailed maintenance plans and schedules for preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities
  • Create and manage work orders, including scope of work, labor, materials, and equipment requirements
  •  Monitor the progress of work orders and update long term schedules as necessary
  • Generate reports on maintenance performance and measures level of reactivity with the purpose of reducing it.  This includes tracking and communicating key performance indicators (KPIs), e.g. work order completion rates, planned vs actual work orders performed, and downtime analysis among others
  •  Ensure accurate documentation and closure of completed work orders. Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams to plan and prioritize work orders
  • Ensure that maintenance tasks are performed efficiently and within scheduled timeframes. Ensures installed equipment is performing effectively, efficiently and running as designed and specified.
  • Coordinate the availability of necessary resources, including crafts, spare parts, tools, and equipment.
  • Work with procurement to ensure timely ordering and delivery of parts and materials.
  •  Optimize inventory levels to prevent shortages and excess stock.
  • Ensure installed equipment and system capacities, materials of construction, accuracy/variance, operating range (temperature, flow, and pressure), operating modes and throughput meet manufacturing requirements.
  • Coordinate with equipment vendors to determine necessary parts for equipment repair.
  • Consults with maintenance craft workers and other technical support to troubleshoot equipment reliability problems.  Recommend necessary troubleshooting or equipment redesigns to Engineering.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including equipment history, maintenance logs, and performance data.
  •  Generate reports on maintenance performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs), work order completion rates, and downtime analysis.
  •   Use computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track and manage maintenance activities.
  • Provides technical support by performing equipment research, field measurements, sizing of new equipment, supervising start-up, and writing SOP’s for new equipment
  • Represents Maintenance department as required on Process Hazard Analysis/Process Safety Review teams
  • Adheres to personal, moral, ethical, legal, and behavioral conduct that is in compliance with the Siegfried Code of Conduct
  • Adheres to all applicable SOPS, SHE and cGMP regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

Your profile

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Chemical Engineering with a desired 2-5 years project management experience in either a bulk pharmaceutical or specialty chemicals environment
  • Excellent project management skills strongly desired 
  • Knowledge of cGMP’s and process system documentation and validation strongly desired
  • Knowledge of Auto Cad or other computerized drawing management system strongly desired.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and Process Safety Management (PSM) a desired plus.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated MS Office skills
  • Able to work efficiently with people of all levels and cultures and be a team player and collaborator
  • Pay attention to detail and manage multiple tasks and planning of WO at one time and prioritize appropriately
