Your role
The principal responsibility of the Research Scientist III, Analytical Development is method development, validation and the analysis of compounds. The Research Scientist III is expected to demonstrate expertise in both the theoretical and practical aspects of analytical chemistry. ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Utilize subject matter expert for testing, troubleshooting and complex problems
2. Write analytical method procedures to establish format
3. Write analytical validation reports
4. Process samples with the standard procedures effectively and under minimal supervision. Analyze experimental data for validity
5. Submit reports of analytical testing
6. Perform data review. Provide corrections and good documentation coaching
7. Develop solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope
8. Contribute to the completion of routine technical tasks
9. Demonstrate proficiency in interpreting data sets and providing summaries
10. Conduct electronic searches for applicable methods and related procedures
11. Manage workload and time to perform multiple projects effectively, and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed on a timely basis
12. Maintain a detailed and accurate recording of activities and results
13. Contribute to the review of OOS and deviations
14. Execute, author and review protocols, report quality investigations, change controls and data summaries. Understand and use basic risk assessment and root cause tools
15. Track and trend data as applicable
16. Lead departmental projects
17. Participate in cross-functional teams
18. Recommend and implement methods to increase the quality of products and/or service
19. Contribute to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects
20. Frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts
21. Represent the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects
22. Follow responsible actions regarding chemical disposal. Maintain compliance with all regulations at the federal, state, and local levels
23. Exhibit safety awareness and safe work practices
24. Participate in self-development activities and training of others
