In this role as an SAP Basis expert, you are responsible for the smooth functioning of Siegfried’s constantly growing SAP system landscape. You will work closely with the infrastructure team and the managed service partner to ensure that all systems run smoothly and efficiently. In addition to ensuring smooth operations, you will also advise specialist departments and support IT projects in the SAP environment as well as related non-SAP systems. The position will be available starting in October 2025.

Your role

  • Take on the technical leadership role in S/4HANA projects and related initiatives. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support IT projects and enhance the SAP landscape.
  • Administer and maintain the SAP system landscape, including installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades of on-premise and cloud SAP systems (ECC 6.0, S/4HANA, Solution Manager).
  • Act as the first point of contact for all SAP Basis topics, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Manage roles and user administration across SAP systems, ensuring secure and efficient access control, while developing and establishing processes and setting clear standards.
  • Monitor system performance, conduct optimizations, and proactively address potential issues to ensure smooth operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve SAP Basis issues, providing technical support and analysis  to various company stakeholders for both projects and daily operations.
  • Maintain and administer SAP Solution Manager and its successor applications, including documentation, upgrades, and migrations.  
  • Familiarity with test management tools such as Focus Build and ChaRM is desirable.

Your profile

  • Degree in Information Technology or equivalent qualification.
  • Several years of experience in SAP system administration and maintenance, with expertise in SAP Basis (databases, upgrades, performance optimization).
  • Strong knowledge of SAP system installation, configuration, transport management, user administration, and system monitoring.
  • Experience with SAP Solution Manager, Integration Suite, and BTP is a plus.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Interest in emerging technologies (S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, Cloud) and a commitment to continuous learning.

Hameln is a renowned contract manufacturer which supplies both national and international pharmaceutical companies. It has over 450 employees who produce sterile medicinal products, mainly for use in hospitals and intensive care facilities.
