Your role

SUMMARY:  
The incumbent is responsible for any duties necessary to repair and maintain a variety of chemical manufacturing equipment. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Is responsible for any duties necessary to troubleshoot/repair and maintain a variety of chemical manufacturing equipment including: reactors, stills, filter-presses, centrifuges, grinders, dryers, scrubbers, compressors, blowers, pumps (centrifugal, positive displacement, diaphragm)
Performs pipefitting in general: Laying out, preparing, joining, and completing various piping systems of a variety of materials such as: glass, stainless steel, carbon steel, galvanized, copper, PVC. 
Must also be able to utilize the tools required to perform the duties of a maintenance mechanic including:  saws in general, pipe bending tool, pipe threading machine, electric screwdrivers, calipers, tachometers, torque-wrench, taps and dies, drill press, hydraulic press and hose crimping machine, grinding wheel
Must have working knowledge of motor/pump replacement and alignment, forklifts operation in general, welding in general, use of magnetic drill, Ohm meter and acetylene torch.
Adheres to personal moral, ethical, legal, and behavioral conduct in compliance with the Siegfried Code of Conduct.
Adheres to all applicable SHE and cGMP regulations.
Other maintenance duties as assigned.

Your profile

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or VoTech School or equivalent.
Prior experience as a maintenance mechanic is desirable; minimum of two years hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing pumps (centrifugal, diaphragm, positive displacement)
Must have a strong background on good pipefitting practices, capable of reading Isometric drawings, as well as P&ID’s.
Must have knowledge of 110/240/460volts circuits.
Must have experience on TIG, MIG, Arc, and Acetylene welding. Certification is preferable.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to pass a written test in order to qualify for the position.
Must be able to read and understand drawings and manuals from simple to complex
Must be to read and write legibly in English and do basic mathematical calculations.
Must be able to follow and execute task(s) based on P&ID information preferred. 
Must be able to operate in-house vehicles.
Must be able to climb stairs and handle parts weighing up to 75 lbs.

Pennsville is our drug substance manufacturing site for the US mar-ket and provides spray drying operations globally.
